Although the basic idea of Mongo Deco is that anyone can do their own interior design with the right connections and resources, we are available to help with the right project. We work primarily in Southeast Michigan and Seattle, Washington, but we will travel anywhere for interesting work. Contact us – a basic consultation is free. Any further work – consulting, design, renovation – is estimated in full beforehand on a sliding scale, case-by-case basis.

Contact us if you just need help thinking about the design of your space, even if you’re not sure you want to hire us. If, after a basic consultation, you want to receive drawings and color swatches and the rest of full treatment, we will provide a free estimate for any further work.
One-Room Treatment
This is what we like to do best – take one room of your home or business and furnish it entirely with recycled/reused items and materials. This can include painting and minor renovation or custom cabinetry. We take the time to learn about the local environments and sources for materials and work closely with you to make sure you’re getting what you want. And in the end you’ll get a document of your room’s official Mongo Deco certification.
Full Service Interior Design/Decorating
Whether it’s furnishing an entire house or completely renovating a space, we and our Partners (or your own trusted contractors) can manage the entire project for you, working closely with you every step of the way.
Finesse Demolition
We will help you with the demolition part of your renovation project with a goal of salvaging as much material as possible, to be reused in your project, stored and used in one of ours, or donated.
Recycled Concrete Rockwalls
If you’re near Ann Arbor, Michigan, we can install retaining walls, landscaping borders, raised bed gardens, or just about anything else you could imagine using 100% recycled concrete. The final price will be competitive with that of the cheapest DIY retaining-wall bricks available at the Big Box stores but will look much more attractive.
Eco-Staging
Your film or stage set, or the space your’re trying to sell or rent, furnished entirely with recycled/reused materials. Resourceful people in the independent film industry have been doing this for years. We make it official.
